Yesterday was a great day. Studio Mailbox had a session of Internet Hand Holding with Kirsty Hall which makes me feel like I've properly brought in this site for winter maintenance.
Seriously, this was the perfect consulation for someone like me who has been floundering a bit, wanting to know which direction to go and doesn't have tons of blog support in their life. I came away with several tips, a book recommendation and some small tasks. It was nice to hear that with relatively little effort I could still make some improvements around here. Kirsty was simply lovely and super generous, chatting well over the 45-minute appointment we had booked. I feel lighter emotionally and creatively plus found another creative person to connect with in this wacky art world.
The hubs brought an iPad home from work to play with over the weekend. I used "Photo Booth" to take some goofy pics of me pretending to know how to use it. Much to my dismay I discovered that it's not a gi-normo phone. The hubs loves the thing, I'm not so impressed. My big complaint would be the fingerprints. No children are allowed to touch my laptop, and I simply HATE when greasy prints are all over a screen. This is pretty much impossible to illeviate with a touch screen. I do have to say however if you love your apps on your iPhone, this thing is the next logical step. If you love games or want an awesome reader, then squinting would certainly be alleviated. It's nice but I could live without one... at least for now.
I never thought of asking anyone to take a look at my blog and give me their view on what they think could be tweaked or changed. I just kind of charge in and post stuff to keep me on track with my drawing practice, maybe you could do a review for me :)
