I've totally gotten into Michelle Ward's Street Team and proud to report that although I've been a hopeless whiner during my wisdom tooth recovery, I was still able to do a strip tease. (The name of this crusade has me laughing like no other because a big swollen face and cracked bloody lips are about the furthest thing from sexy imaginable).
This was a good project to do while laying on the couch watching bad TV. I sat ripping little strips of paper and then for some reason was tempted to weave them. This had me thinking back to those little plastic pot-holder producing loom kits we used to play with as kids!
After a few days I wanted to see if I could sew again so I grabbed my woven strips and ran them under the presser foot.
I took all the tiny left over scrappy strip ends and glued them down onto an ATC with some tissue paper strips.
I've been meaning to start a Street Team journal or book to work in, but haven't gotten my act so together yet. In any case it's a good feeling to be productive whether I actually "do" anything with the outcome or not.
TJ - hope your mouth is feeling better! Love these woven strips. You are very patient (as a patient - ha!) I am amazed you could stitch these together....I would have given up in frustration to work on pieces this little. And yes, the remind me of pot holder things we used to make - but way cooler!! Thanks for sharing with the team!
