We were looking at some flashcards the other day and came to one of a bear ironing. My son responded with, "Boat. Grandpa's fast boat!"
Umm, I suppose the jeans kind of do look like water.
It occurred to me that my child has never seen me iron. Ever. I thought, "C'mon you know this tool sweetie!!! The hot one that mommy uses downstairs to make her linoleum warm so it cuts better. The one that transfers melty crayon or blue carbon onto daddy's white shirts if we don't get to the dry cleaners..."
Are we a strange family? He didn't know the "scrub" card either. Ouch.
LOL! You made my day with this post.

Keep it up TJ, that is what irons are for!

When we made one of our moves (to Germany, actually) I was sorting what should go or stay and I had to decide if we really needed to take our iron and ironing board with us! Just wrecked our original iron from our wedding shower nineteen years ago while crafting last month. Now I have a new iron that I never use--a quick smooth usually does the trick.

LOL! Well maybe he does recognise pictures of paintbrushes, paint pots, sewing machines, ATC´s instead of the Iron and Scrub pictures?!!!
