What would you do if your friends scavenged a silkscreen printing setup from a high school that was getting rid of it? And then a bunch of generous (and strong) friends hauled the light booth, washing tub, printing mechanism and table, drying racks, screens, scrapers, and inks scaling a million+ stairs straight up a hillside in the name of creative pleasure?
I guess there would be no choice except to learn how to use it! I'm very happy for Andreas and Petra with their new equipment and very grateful they're willing to share it with me...
After our first day of playing I have developed two things; a serious respect for the masters of the trade, and an understanding of why anything that's silkscreen printed is so expensive.
Show your silk screen projects when you can. This should be another time eater! LOL

Screenprinting is more versatile than traditional printing techniques. The surface does not have to be printed under pressure, unlike etching or lithography, and it does not have to be planar.
