OK how gorgeous is this man who actually arrived at my house to pick up my husband and leave for a work event at the famous Oktoberfest? Roland is not only great to look at, but he's been a terrific help to me since moving here to Germany with my crazy technical questions. This man is the Zen Master of printing files. English, German, Mac, PC, whatever. Bring it on. Roland becomes one with the keyboard and fixes it in like 10 seconds. I wish I could scoop a spoonful of his brain out and inject it into my veins so I could really KNOW the files the way he does. He is fearless.
I thought I had slowed him down with my latest problem and didn't say a word as he sat down at my PC with an English keyboard. (In case you don't know, an English keyboard is different from a German keyboard which is different from an American keyboard). Now, if you're a command user instead of a mouse clicker, imagine what happens when you change the keys on the keyboard. If you think going between a Mac and a PC is confusing, start changing up your keyboards. And if that's not enough for you, install your softwares in assorted languages. UGH. My brain just starts smoking.
Well Roland didn't even flinch! He says to me, "I want to work on my English. I'll come over and we'll talk." I ask, "What do you want to work on Roland?" I understand him perfectly. His English is excellent. "It could be much better" he insists.
So I say, "Hmmm. Ok you come over and tutor me on InDesign. In English. If you dress like this, I won't even charge you." I am such a manipulative genius I think to myself.
Roland says, "OK. Lesson One. Leather Pants."
And who says Germans aren't funny??
Hilarious! Thanks for the fun.

Oh, I think everyone needs a Roland as a friend in her life! And he does look good in these leather trousers as well!
