A wonderful book, Life is a Verb, written by Patti Digh has recently hit the bookstores. This holds special meaning for me because I was lucky enough to get involved with a group of artists who provided our work to illustrate Patti's essays.
I used my friend Kelli Schwert's polymer beads for the essay "Love Unlovable People." Our submission was made from a photograph of a bead encrusted and stenciled shrine, freehand lettering and merging of the images on the PC. Thank you so much for being a part of the artwork Kelli. I love you!!
My other submission for "Burn Those Jeans" included stenciling, sewing, photographing and again bringing it all together digitally. Lots of steps.
This has been a very exciting project. I've done business cards, wedding invitations, holiday cards, birth announcements, greeting cards, newsletters... but nothing involved with a real ISBN number. Finally, after all these years of hard work, something seriously published. What a gift. Thanks Patti Digh.
A big congrats to you!
