I like your story about adapting to Christmas in a foreign country. When I was 16 or 17 I lived in Michigan as an exchange student. At first I was soooo sad not to have Heiligabend. Then my American family made me an Evening. But somehow I also was disappointed missing the real American way.
Very difficult back then.

This Christmas I'm very happy. Celebrating completly outside ANY tradition.
